Statement on the Use of Artificial Intelligence

Currently, the Privacy & Civil Liberties Oversight Board does not utilize covered AI applications (as defined in OMB Memorandum M-24-10) in performing its statutory mission to ensure that the federal government's efforts to prevent terrorism are balanced with the need to protect privacy and civil liberties. Specifically, the PCLOB does not employ safety- or rights-impacting AI systems.
